CareOne Clinics Officially Opens in Chevron, Lekki: A New Era of Community-Centered Healthcare Begins

At exactly 12:00 PM on May 1st, 2025, CareOne Clinics officially opened its doors to the Chevron, Lekki community, ushering in a new chapter of accessible, personalized, and preventive healthcare for residents across Lagos.

The launch event brought together a diverse group of medical professionals, community leaders, friends, family, and staff to witness the realization of a dream years in the making. This momentous occasion was more than just the unveiling of a new facility—it marked the start of a healthcare journey grounded in compassion, access, and innovation.

A Vision Born from Experience

CareOne Clinics is the brainchild of Dr. Yewande Oladehin, Chief Medical Director, and Dr. Olakunle Oladehin, Medical Director of Operations. Both seasoned physicians with decades of experience in clinical practice and healthcare management, the Oladehin's have dedicated their careers to improving the healthcare landscape in Nigeria and beyond. Through their journeys, they identified a recurring challenge: the need for accessible healthcare that combines quality, affordability, and trust.

“I’ve always believed in the power of timely and accessible care,” said Dr. Yewande Oladehin during her speech at the launch. “Too often, patients are caught between limited access and late diagnosis. We often compare our healthcare system to those in other continents but what you come to noticed about nations with advance healthcare is that they provide high quality primary health services thus preventing complications that necessitate seeking secondary or tertiary healthcare. We envisioned a space where people could walk in and benefit from quality, accessible and reliable healthcare.”

Their vision became the driving force behind CareOne Clinics, where every patient is treated with the utmost respect, compassion, and professionalism.

Purpose-Built for the Community

Conveniently located at 39 Alternative Road, Chevron Bypass, Lekki, CareOne Clinics is designed to serve individuals and families with a wide range of health needs. Whether seeking care for everyday ailments or managing chronic conditions, patients will find a comprehensive suite of services under one roof.

The clinic features:

  • Diagnostic and laboratory units, providing quick and reliable test results

  • Child-friendly spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment for young patients

  • A multidisciplinary care team, focused on providing holistic and patient-centered care

The clinic’s design reflects a blend of efficiency and warmth, delivering a healthcare experience that is not only fast and professional but also empathetic and people-first.

Comprehensive Outpatient Services

As an outpatient medical center, CareOne Clinics offers a broad range of services to address everyday health concerns and long-term wellness goals. The services include:

  • General Outpatient Consultations

  • Specialist Consultations

  • Pre-Employment Screenings

These services are designed to prevent illness, manage chronic conditions, and support the overall well-being of every patient who walks through the doors.

Technology-Driven, Environmentally Conscious

In line with its commitment to innovation, CareOne Clinics is at the cutting edge of healthcare technology. The clinic operates on a fully automated electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring seamless patient care from the moment they enter the lobby through their consultations, diagnostics, and treatments. Every service point is digitally integrated to provide faster, safer, and more coordinated care.

In addition to this, CareOne Clinics has adopted a paper-light model, reducing its reliance on paper and streamlining processes to improve efficiency and reduce environmental waste. This effort aligns with their broader goal of promoting sustainability.

Perhaps the most pioneering aspect of the clinic’s infrastructure is its fully solar-powered energy system. Harnessing clean, renewable energy, CareOne Clinics is committed to reducing Nigeria’s carbon footprint and setting a new standard for sustainable healthcare delivery across Africa.

“As healthcare providers, we know that innovation and sustainability must go hand in hand,” said Dr. Olakunle Oladehin, Medical Director of Operations. “By investing in digital systems and solar energy, we’re not only enhancing patient care but also protecting the environment. We are building a clinic for the future—one that serves both our patients and the planet.”

More Than Treatment—A Focus on Prevention

At CareOne Clinics, the mission extends far beyond simply treating illness. A core pillar of the clinic’s philosophy is preventive care—educating patients, promoting early screenings, and managing health risks before they escalate into emergencies. The clinic offers a range of programs designed to prevent disease and support the community’s long-term health, including immunizations, wellness checks, chronic disease management, and comprehensive health education.

“We firmly believe that prevention is the most powerful form of medicine,” emphasized Dr. Olakunle Oladehin. “By offering early detection and continuous care, we help patients not just survive, but thrive. Our goal is to keep people healthy for as long as possible.”

Distinguished Guests and Community Support

The official launch was a celebration of community and collaboration, attended by an esteemed group of dignitaries and healthcare leaders who share the vision for improving healthcare in Nigeria:

  • Mrs. Modupe Adegbola, representing her husband, Prof. Richard Adegbola, Chairman of the National Health Research Ethics Committee (NHREC)

Looking Ahead: Expanding Care, Expanding Access

As CareOne Clinics moves forward, the team has an ambitious vision for the future. The clinic is working to expand its footprint across Lagos with the goal of opening additional locations. There are also plans to introduce mobile clinic services and initiate community outreach programs to better serve underserved populations in Lagos and beyond.

“As we continue to grow, we remain committed to bringing healthcare closer to the people who need it most,” said Dr. Yewande Oladehin. “Our goal is to break down the barriers to healthcare access and ensure that quality care is available to every member of the community.”
